With spring right around the corner, people residing within cold winter regions may be yearning for warmer weather. Luckily, it is not far off. Now that the first day of spring is under a month away, planning a seasonal getaway should be of the utmost importance to cure your winter blues. Check out any of the following destinations for exceptional weather, a thriving nightlife, and a break from your regularly scheduled weekdays.

Denver, CO

Denver’s River North Art District (also known as RiNo) is an awesome location for that hosts plenty of different pop-up events, markets, and art exhibits; all great outdoor activities to embrace the coming of warm weather. “RiNo” boasts 25 different vendors ranging from bakeries to butcher shops, breweries to taquerias, and flower shops throughout. The food hall known as The Source is another awesome attraction located in the center of RiNo that has plenty of European-style food options.

Scottsdale, AZ

A not-too-hot spring destination that hosts a number of high end resorts is Scottsdale, Arizona. The warm weather attracts not only tourists, but Major League Baseball teams as they go through spring training. This March, players from the San Francisco Giants, Colorado Rockies, and Arizona Diamondbacks are scheduled to practice in Scottsdale throughout 10 different stadiums.

If baseball isn’t your cup of tea, Scottsdale also has hot air balloon rides, botanical gardens, and water parks for family members of all ages. The Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center specifically is a great attraction for families, allowing guests to see native animals that have been rescued from poor conditions. It’s a great educational trip for children as well.

Santa Barbara, CA

This time of year, whale watching tours are especially popular in Santa Barbara as gray whale pods migrate south toward Baja California. Not far from here, a newly renovated Ritz-Carlton hotel rests just off the ocean, providing guests with breathtaking sights from their balconies.

Palm Harbor, FL

The PGA’s annual Valspar Championship takes place at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club here in Palm Harbor, Florida during March, drawing in fans from all over. While this may be a slightly wealthier area, this resort and spa is a luxurious getaway for yacht owners, who can dock their boats right next door. Here, guests can enjoy 11 different tennis courts, six pools, and plenty of fishing lakes.

Houston, TX

With warmer temperatures nearly all year round, Texas is a great destination for spring breakers. Houston specifically hosts the Houston Rodeo; a 19-day tournament throughout February and March that includes bull riding, horseback riding, barrel racing, live music, and much more. The annual event ends with the Super Shootout with a grand prize of up to $2 million.

Lodging here is quite accommodating, with The Inn at Dos Brisas giving guests VIP seating for the rodeo, in addition to a luxurious stay that comes with plenty of amenities.
